Author visits for schools and libraries

Bringing stories, creativity, and courage to young readers

I love visiting schools and libraries to connect with students, share stories, and encourage a lifelong love of reading and creativity. My visits are interactive, age-appropriate, and designed to meet students where they are—whether they’re budding readers, imaginative thinkers, or kids who don’t yet see themselves as “book people.”

As a former nurse, I bring a calm, empathetic approach to every visit. I understand what it feels like to be in unfamiliar situations, and I work hard to create a space where students feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to participate..

Book a visit

What students can expect

During an author visit, students will:

  • Hear the story behind how books are made—from idea to finished page

  • Learn how stories can come from imagination, emotion, and real life

  • Ask questions and participate in guided discussion

  • Be encouraged to see creativity as something everyone has

I emphasize that you don’t have to be “perfect” to be creative—stories grow through curiosity, courage, and trying..
